Christmas Thoughts

We prayed before we bought our tree
and it changed the way we bought it
we prayed before we drove away
and it changed the way we drove.
We prayed before opening presents
and it changed the gifts that were given
we prayed when we had nothing to say
and it changed the prayers we prayed.

SNOW!

Baltimore had it's first snowstorm of the winter this week- a beautiful four inches or so. I skipped my second class at Hopkins and got home at 7 pm. Threw snowballs with Tyler, Malik, Little Tony, Timmy, Tiki, and others. It was a blast. Yes, that's me smacking a 12 year old kid over the head with a snowball. These kids keep me going.

What a wonderful thanksgiving break. Much needed. I really enjoyed seeing my family, brand new neice Eve, and friends. A highlight was spending time with childhood friend, Allie! Here we are at the Philadelphia Art Museum.

On another note, I was put on to this website today at my Hopkins masters class. Very addicting, and you can feel good about it too. I generally think the best things in life benefit you, while benefitting others. Thats sounds good and capitalistic. Greed is good? What about greed for a better vocabulary?

Thanksgiving and Hereafter

I am speaking at my father's church this evening. Still full from turkey day. The half pound of cheese curds today did not help at all.
I am going to see an old childhood friend today for the first time in at least 6 years if not more.

Is this a good idea?

Only time will tell.
Whether I write anything at all.
Whether it is a good thing or not.
Whether there is magic in the keyboard.
And the nether.
